Jen Stoll brings a deep background in education, social work, Montessori education, and human development to Farm School KC. After several years in traditional education, she recognized the limitations of approaches that did not fully engage students or reflect their developmental needs. Her search for an educational model centered on child and adolescent development led her to Montessori education. In 2004, she completed her elementary Montessori training at Clay-Platte Montessori, where she discovered an approach that aligned with her belief in honoring each child’s individual development and potential. She later served as a Lower Elementary Lead Guide, Upper Elementary Guide, and school director before becoming the owner of Clay-Platte Montessori in 2016.
Farm School KC grew from Jen’s vision to extend authentic Montessori education into adolescence. The program began at Clay-Platte Montessori, where Jen helped establish and develop the adolescent program before it became an independent school in 2022. As founder of Farm School KC, she remains committed to creating an educational environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and personal development of adolescents.
As Board Secretary, Jen brings her years of Montessori leadership, educational experience, and deep knowledge of Farm School KC’s history and mission to help guide the school’s continued growth and development.
