Matt DeCapo brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and educational experience to Farm School KC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a secondary major in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from Kansas State University, and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UMKC.

Matt has been working directly in Montessori education for two years prior to joining Farm School KC in the fall of 2025. Passionate about composting, music—especially percussion—gardening, hiking, and exploring nature, he also loves learning languages and discovering cultures from around the world. He is dedicated to creating hands-on, engaging learning experiences that connect students to the natural world while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
