Todd Covert brings a diverse background in education, environmental education, experiential learning, and educational leadership to the Farm School KC Board. Before founding the school with his wife, Meagan Ledendecker, Todd taught sixth grade language arts, social studies, math, and science in the Berkshire Hills Regional School District. Earlier in his career, he helped establish and served as Director of Education and Outreach for the Mississippi State Office of the National Audubon Society. His experience also includes extensive outdoor and experiential education, from leading wilderness trips to facilitating ropes courses and other adventure-based learning experiences.
Todd holds a B.A. in Philosophy, an M.S. in Environmental Education, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership. He has completed elementary Montessori teacher training and holds Massachusetts licenses in elementary education and school administration. As Board Treasurer, Todd brings his experience in educational leadership, organizational development, and mission-driven school building to help support Farm School KC's long-term sustainability and growth. Outside of school, he enjoys hiking, learning guitar, and spending time with Meagan and their children, Willow, Wren, and Winter.
